The name itself represents family. Sturm — the German word for storm — represents my son. Róisín — a Gaelic name meaning "little rose" — represents my daughter. What started as a simple landing page with the words "coming soon" eventually became the foundation for several creative ventures.
The journey began long before the company existed. After years of building internal tools and websites through my work in the printing industry, I realized I had developed a real passion for creating things on the web — tools, platforms, and projects that bring ideas to life.
As that passion grew, so did the number of projects connected to it.
Working on that project sparked new ideas — not only about publishing, but also about visual content, educational material, and creative products for kids interested in racing and engineering.
From there, additional concepts began to develop:
- Publishing projects
- Educational and technical content
- Online stores and creative products
- Community websites and local resources
- Small business website development
Each project started the same way — with curiosity and the desire to build something useful.
Eventually those ideas formed several branches under the Sturm & Róisín umbrella, including website development through Delight Digital Designs and other creative ventures still evolving.
At its core, Sturm & Róisín exists to explore ideas, build tools, and create platforms that help bring projects — from books to businesses — to life.
What began as a simple personal project has grown into a place where creativity, problem solving, and entrepreneurship all come together.
And like the original "coming soon" page, the story is still being written.
